Letter from James Dodds to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Dodds writes in some detail about events in his life in Melrose, Scotland; his early working class upbringing, thirst for reading, induction into priesthood, rejection of priesthood, involvement with Chartism and growing interest in Law are all discussed.

Dodds asks Owen where he may locate writings on his views, with particular reference to those on the "Social System".
