Letter from James Alexander to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, in which Alexander expresses regret in the delay in remitting the proceeds from a consignment [of flour] to Robert Dale Owen. Alexander explains that the delay is due to settlement not being reached between the purchaser and Alexander (or the company he represents).

The latter half of the letter is of a more personal note, with Alexander asking Owen has he recovered [from an illness or injury] and stating that they are hopeful his father may yet recover the use of his side.
