Letter from Robert Black to Robert Owen

Manuscript letter: Black informs Owen of a meeting to petition parliament regarding abolition of newspaper stamp duty. He encourages Owen to "urge everyone to attend…you can send many and cause many to send others."

Black includes a manuscript letter (3 Mar 1836) from John Travers and David Wise; they outline arrangements for the meeting and note that "the Lord Mayor" will be "in the Chair."
