Letter from Alex Campbell to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Campbell opens this manuscript letter by writing of deliveries to him in Glasgow of the Millennial Gazette; he has received No.8 & No.9, but wants [John] Rigby to forward him more copies before he can have them bound with No.s1 - 7 and distribute them.

Writes of a meeting between Titus Salt and 3000 workers at Saltaire, Bradford, at which Salt uttered sentiments, to much applause, that were "very much akin" to the ideas and principles long advocated by Owen.

Closes by discussing his intention of advocating Owen's principles at a meeting of the delegates of Trades of Scotland; asks for any suggestions Owen may have on this subject.
