Letter from M Goupy to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter. Goupy tells Owen that he is expecting a letter and a book from him which Miss D'Espagne has told him will be useful in a treaty he is drawing up between a land owner and 250 families of workmen.

Goupy also informs Owen that the French National Assembly continues with its pitiful laws but believes the 1852 general elections will throw down all those laws as a castle of cards. He goes on to say that in Deflotte they have a good and skillful debator.
