Letter from J. W. Wood to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Wood asks if Owen if he has any information on the whereabouts of her father. She explains that she was formerly Ann Owen and her father was William Owen, who came from Shropshire and had been a partner in Mr Phippsons gold and silver rolling mills in Birmingham. She has heard nothing of him since she left England [New York] and had been directed by friends to ask Owen.
