Manuscript letter: Brown "finds great difficulties" in France; he seeks Owen's assistance to secure a "situation" in Paris. He considers a loan to support his "young family" and asks: "how could I get my family support...in any of your new establishments - in Hampshire, for instance." Brown discusses the ideas of Fourier.
