Letter from B. Warden to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter expressing concern at the possible closure of the Burton Street Rooms due to poor management and economic necessity. Implores Owen to help ensure the meeting place remains open as closure would be unfavourable to promoting the groups views. Suggests Owen appoints an efficient individual to manage the room and be personally responsible for the selection of good lecturers who would induce the public to attend in greater numbers and pay for doing so.
