Scope and Content

Printed address given by John Finch. In the address, Finch puts forward his reasons for wanting the introduction of a national system of education, one open to the children of all classes of people. The basis of Finch's argument is the enabling of the poor so they may left themselves from the "circumstances of filth, disorder, ignorance and vice" in which they currently find themselves.
