Address to the Queen from The Philalethean Society

Scope and Content

Printed copy of an address to Queen Victoria from The Philalethean Society requesting Her Majesty's assistance in regard to the "views entertained by the Socialists". The Philaletheans have been encouraged to make the address on hearing, "with amazement and grief" that the Queen has granted an audience to Owen, "the propounder and chief advocate of the scheme" of Socialism.
