Letter from William Bromley to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter: Bromley presents his grievances to Owen. He complains that he has not been "equitably remunerated": "It seems that I am now to consider it a favour, not only to live fifteen or eighteen months without any income! but also to pay £1000 per annum out of nothing! and moreover, I ought to throw £2,000 worth of fittings and fixtures into the scale."
