Letter from John Evans to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter: Evans states Mr Bromley has informed him regarding the situation relating to the premises on Gray's Inn Road and the need for a "prompt and decisive settlement." He states that he needs to be informed whether the premises are to be purchased or if they will continue to rent them upon the terms already proposed by Mr Bromley.

In the first of two manuscript attachments, a note containing an extract from the proceedings of the meeting of the Proprietors of the Exchange, held on December 26 1832, is present and states that Mr Bromley may hold the premises until all arrangements are completed.

In a second manuscript attachment, a note regarding personal liability in the purchase of the premises is present.
