Letter from James Osbourne to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Osborne explains his desire to take part in Owen's proposed discussion with Mr [M. V.] Falvey of Liverpool due to take place at the Exchange Rooms [Manchester] the following day. Osborne writes he has some "some interesting information" regarding the feeling of the "really intelligent portion of the working people", which can be used in opposition to the claims of Mr Falvey regarding the absurdity of "Owenian Philosophy".
