In this manuscript letter Rigby provides Owen with an account of the progress he has made with tasks carried out on Owen's behalf. This includes delivering a parcel containing a copy of Owen's work The New Existence of Man on Earth to a house located on Cecil St, Strand, London to an unnamed Colonel. The Colonel is considering visiting Owen at his house at Sevenoaks, Kent, and may stay on for some weeks for the "fresh air". Rigby provides him a with a detailed description of the village and its amenities.
