Letter from Alex Campbell to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter in which Campbell writes of receiving "part of the New Existence, adding that he has shown it to some of his friends who are all pleased to still learn Owen is still able to continue with his "useful labours for the Human Race"; Campbell regrets though, that Owen's labours are "so little known to the great mass of the population".

Atkins 'Panorama' in Birmingham although closed on the 29th still remains there. Campbell writes that he will soon have to leave [his job with] Atkins, as he does not know how he can "serve him further with advantage"; asks Owen does he know of any "situation" in which Campbell could be made useful to himself and others.
