'Letter from M.F to L (her sister)'

Scope and Content

Printed letter, which is noted to be "for private circulation only among a few friends", which is written by a lady guest of the Revere Hotel, Boston. In the letter the author, a female with the initials "M.F", writes in detail about her fellow guests at the hotel.

One particular guest is the Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind, who, it is noted, in addition to making a large donation to charity has also charmed a number of the elderly male residents of the hotel striking them down with, what is described here as, "Lindrophobia".

Further detailed commentary on the movements of other guests follows.
