Letter from M Goupy to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Owen that the French General Cavaignac, had offered a friend of his a sum of money and some men to set up an experiment of the Fourierite system in Africa. Goupy's friend had declined the offer and he requests that Owen considers taking up the opportunity himself.

Goupy also tells Owen that if the French National Assembly assumes the nomination of a President that there may be a rebellion of the General Council of Departments.
