Letter from C. G. Allhusen to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter in which Allhusen indicates he wishes to give to Owen a bound copy of the Popular Tribune of 1857. The Tribune, Allhusen states, is the only place where one can find interesting information about "the Colony and Communism" in English. (The colony which he refers is one founded by Etienne Cabet at Nauvoo, Illinois and through the contents of the letter it is clear that Allhusen has been heavily influenced by Cabet and his ideas.)
