Letter from M Goupy to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter expressing regret that despite Goupy's best efforts the new President, Louis Napoleon, has allowed second rate ministers to be elected. Goupy fears that there is a conspiracy to re-establish the monarchy and that there will be a great reaction against Louis Napoleon within three months. Goupy informs Owen that he has sent his writings on Owen's principles to all the papers of Departments.
