In this manuscript letter Ashburner intimates he has sent Owen a copy of the [Yorkshire] Spiritual Telegraph and notes he has been unable to visit St. Martins Hall to see Mr Atkins great scheme. Writes of the slow progress of Spiritualism in London - Randolph will meet with no encouragement and is talking of going home to America; glad to see progress amongst the working classes but is "despairing of success among the so called learned and scientific".
