Manuscript letter, in which Masquerier writes of his general agreement with Owen's views on the formation of man's character. He proceeds to elaborate in considerable detail his own thoughts on the subject.
In several points in the letter pencil annotations or alterations have been made. In one particular instance, Masquerier refers to the possible setting-up of a community and writes of his belief this can be achieved "without the cooperation of the ignorant public". However, this statement has been lined out, [in a mark of disapproval].
