Letter from J Smith to Robert Owen

Manuscript letter. Smith is part of the National Political Union and says that a few of the members are forming a circulating library that will be accessible to all members. Smith hopes that it will diffuse a sound political knowledge among the people. He asks if Owen can give a summary of his opinions on advancing the virtue of mankind. Smith asks in which of Owen's works such a summary could be found. He states that they do not have any funds at present.
