Letter from John McKenzie to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, informing Owen that the "Socialists of Manchester" have secured a "large and commodious hall", and desire him to give an address at the opening ceremony planned for the 20th of October. McKenzie notes that George Jacob Holyoake will be giving lectures in the morning and evening of the opening day.

McKenzie also notes that the current progress [of Socialism] in the city [Manchester] is taking on a "most cheering aspect".
