Manuscript letter in which Campbell writes that [Thomas] Atkins is in much better health and intends seeing Owen at Cox's Hotel [London]; he will then tell Owen of his discussions with Lord Palmerston on the subject of Sebastopol [Atkins' plans to build a submarine to break the siege of the city in the Crimean War].
Campbell writes of receiving Owen's publications and having distributed copies to Society of Engineers at Wolverton, Crewe and Swindon railway works, along with a request for them to send delegates [to a meeting to be held on the 14th May].
