Manuscript letter: Hodson informs Owen of his plans to establish a community at his farm, and gives a description of the land and the work that will be involved in creating shelter for prospective members, and explains his intentions to buy more land within the Fens for the endeavour. He states Congress should be assembled as soon as possible in order to determine the "best means to commence immediately."

The letter is written on the blank pages of a printed leaflet, by Hodson, stating his intention to create a community at his farm and the advantages that it will bring to those of the working classes, should they be willing to join the enterprise.
