This sub-series contains the minutes of the Educational Committee of the Enfield Highway Co-operative Society. The Education Committee was formed in 1892, with a certain amount of the Society's net trading surplus going towards education work. The Committee provided sickroom facilities for staff, held an annual fête for children, hosted one day schools and provided a library. They were also connected with the formation of Children's Circles and Junior Guilds as well as the Society's Choir. Also the Committee enabled employees and members of the Society to attend classes and special courses of study.
