Black and white photograph of a design for a book cover, in pencil on tracing paper, leaning up against a white stand, [by May Morris]. The front cover features the title as text in a squared off section in the top left corner, from which radiate flames. The rest of the front cover is covered in growing leaves. The back cover is less densely designed, with a circular motif in the middle, and simple tulips on the outside corners. The Spine has simple tulips growing upwards, and onto the back cover. The photograph is pasted onto a page, along with 7MMO/1/165. The object was held and photographed at the Bodleian Library, Oxford University. The photographs were taken during research by Elizabeth Masterman, for her book on May Morris. The text on the page adjacent to this photograph reads ' 'Light of Asia' / design on tracing paper'.
