Memorandum. 1. He gives the itinerary of his recent trip. 2. Strasbourg: he found that German propaganda was spreading rapidly in Strasbourg; he suggests that Werth might follow this up. 3. Prague: he describes the new Prague, which is now a German colony; he gives his opinion on Beran. 4. The Ukraine: he describes his visit to Chust, the capital of Carpatho-Ukraine, now reduced to a village, its people dispensable. He gives a detailed account of the situation in the province and German influence, propaganda and plans. There are Ukrainians in Poland and Rumania. Göbbels's agent in Prague told him that they plan to incite a revolt in Poland and the Polish Ukraine at the same time. He explains in further detail, and gives more of Göbbels's words about German intentions. He refers to the position of the Greek Catholic clergy. He describes the frightening situation in Lwòw, with demonstrations and anti-Jewish behaviour. 5. Bucharest. He gives a report on Rumania.
