Alexander Werth to W. P. Crozier.

Location: Paris.

He talks about his message in last Wednesday's paper and the ensuing commotion. Bonnet has been complaining. Daladier issued a statement on Friday denying that the French wanted to put pressure on Poland. He refers to the Homme Libre letter being a 'dishonest quibble' and gives his reasons. The British Embassy in Paris considers the matter closed; he advises ignoring the open letter from Die, but will send information for a response if he thinks it worthwhile. The French Embassy in London was pleased with the M.G.'s article, because it led to the definitive statement by Daladier.
