Letter

Scope and Content

Alexander Werth to W. P. Crozier.

Location: Paris.

He has received Monkhouse's letter about the King's visit to France on 26 July. The Times has been publishing columns from Paris daily, and giving them more prominence than their paper does; does he need to write more? He considers the recent leader on France to be too pessimistic and not encouraging enough to the French Left. Other papers have been 'after' him for articles, but he has refused them.
