Scope and Content

Frederick Voigt to C. P. Scott.

Location: Berlin.

100 Communists and Socialists are to be tried at Budapest on the 28th. If the trial is public, he thinks it worthwhile attending. The M.G.'s reporting of it would carry weight with the Hungarian government. Many of the accused are peasants; it would highlight the agrarian scene in Hungary. The sister of the Communist, Rasoki, has written to him. She was charged with secretly communicating with him; Count Bethlen ordered her release after a leader appeared in the M.G.; she wishes to thank them. Would they like him to go to Budapest? The Ulitz trial is dragging on; he will leave for Bromberg tonight.
