Manuscript and typescript letters from Astor of Cliveden, Maidenhead, and his secretary, and typescript copy letters from Britten and his secretary.

Also includes two typescript letters from Brigadier H. A. F. Crewson, Clerk to The Worshipful Company of Musicians, London, part of a manuscript draft speech in Britten's hand, and a typescript copy of the completed speech, written for the convocation of Britten's Honorary Freedom of the Worshipful Company of Musicians, 1965.
