Manuscript and typescript correspondence from Auden and a manuscript letter from Britten.

Includes photocopied letters, transcriptions, a bill in Auden's hand to 'Bengy and Peter', a photocopy of Auden's 'Litany for St. Matthew's Day' written for The Church of S. Matthew, Northampton, for the dedication and patronal festival, 21 Sep 1946 and service sheet for the festival.

Also contains two typescript letters from P.B. Taylor, of the Université de Genève, to Britten, 1970 and a photocopy of a typescript letter from Peter Pears to Humphrey Carpenter, 18 Apr 1980.
