Scope and Content

Postcard of a black and white portrait photograph of a young woman [Anne Munro] with dark curly hair wearing a very wide brimmed hat, and a plain fronted dress with a white lace collar. Brownish in tone, fading to dark brown in the bottom third of the picture. Printed on card, on the reverse is a manuscript message, and an Edward VII postage stamp.

Physical Characteristics and/or Technical Requirements

Poor condition. Yellowed, scratches to surgace, creases bottom left quarter, top left quarter. Bad crease bottom left corner, which has caused the surface to break. grey shiny deposit left centre, grey markings bottom edge. Reverse dirty, ink hand writing has run. Production method: gelatin silver print, mechanically printed on card.
