Scope and Content

Postcard of a black and white portrait photograph of a woman [Edith Craig], wearing a wide brimmed straw hat, a white blouse with a dark bow around her neck, a heavy jacket, and wearing a chain with whistle and keys. With a caption below. Printed on card, the reverse has a manuscript note.

Reference note : Edith Craig 1869 - 1947. Actress and producer. Active member of the Actress's Franchise League. Propagandist for the suffrage cause through this and the Pioneer Theatre.

Light scratches to surface top right quarter, centre left. Abrasion top edge. reverse dirty, with foxing in patches. Production method: mechanically printed on card (possibly a carbon print).
