Scope and Content

The transparencies are a visual summary of Alec Haddow's mosquito research catch data conducted in East Africa. The slides were likely to have been used to support his lectures and publications. These include illustrated graphs and statistical data from mosquito catches and virus isolations; Research summaries include mapping the transmission of viruses by mosquitoes; Maps showing the geographical terrain of Entebbe county, Uganda, where Alec Haddow was mainly based; Mapping of data on Entebbe county and African continent maps; Photographic scenes showing the surrounding environment where mosquito catches were conducted. The descriptions of the colour transparencies have been written by Eleanor Tiplady.
