The letter covers are from Sir George Staunton, 1834; Lord Bolton, 1836; Abel Rous Dottin, 1837; James Barlow Hoy, 1837; and John Willis Fleming, 1837; letter from F.T.Bond, first principal of the Hartley Institution, to Samuel Sharp, author of The Moabite stone, 29 March 1872; copy of the examination of Martha Staton of St Mary's, Southampton, with removal order, 1 Oct 1839; letter from Revd Dr R.Mant of Southampton (father of the Bishop of Down), to Revd Dr Hall about a gentleman from Lincoln College, Oxford, who has offered himself to Mant as a curate, Jan 1812.
