Letter from Stevens describing how he wants Three academic pieces to be structured - title page, copyright notice, acknowledgements and text. Advises how the Press might approach Alfred Knopf for collaborative or distribution purposes and suggests employing a salesman. Enclosed are two pages detailing information to be included in the book. With Duncan's reply focusing on Partisan Review's assignment of copyright via Miss Carver, and the printing set-up of the book: ink colour, weight of print and binding. With respect to binding he points out a student named Arno Werner. Refers to the list of publications in Knopf's edition which they might also include in their own edition.
