Scope and Content

Letter from Stevens refusing Cummington Press's offer for him to act as a trustee, referring him to a Harvard friend in Boston who might be of help, and Byrdcliffe, an artist's residency near Woodstock, N.Y. which was supported by an Englishman. Further to this he refers to the loss of the Avon School: Avon Old Farms into which $5M had been invested. Stevens knew one of the school's trustees.
