Administrative / Biographical History
David McMurchie was born c 1903. He worked for D. C. Thomson as an artist and writer between 1948 and 1972. He was interested in local history and his 'The Tay Bride' was produced in 1964. He also wrote 'I remember another Princes Street' (1986) and in the same year recorded 'From Invergowrie to Stannergate' reminiscences which describe the development of the Dundee shoreline. He died in Roxburghe House, Dundee in 1986.
