Administrative / Biographical History

T. B. Farrington & Son, Conwy and Colwyn Bay Joint Water Supply Board (The Colwyd Board).

The engineer to the Colwyd Board was always the Principal of T. B. Farrington & Son except for 1957-1965 when the firm was absorbed by C. J. Lomax & Son of Manchester whose representative was Mr. Campbell.

Notes:

* = Died in office.

a) From 1918 onwards the Clerk's function was associated with the Conwy firm of Solicitors, Porter & Co.

b) E. Oliver Jones joined T. B. Farrington as a pupil following service in the Boer War. He was reputed to have been about 80 when prevailed upon to retire.

c) Alec Gordon Jones was never confirmed as Clerk to the Board and referred to as the Acting Clerk.

d) J. M. Campbell became Engineer and Manager to the Conwy Valley Water Board in 1965 and the long association between the Farrington practice and the area ended.
