Scope and Content

Xeroxed copies of letters from Charles to Philip on matters including Russia, English politics and conscription, Philips' career in politics, letters announcing Charles' resignation in 1931 and his decision to donate the Wallington estate to the National Trust, the outbreak of World War II, farming at Wallington, reference to the bombing of Newcastle upon Tyne, reference to the use of The Park, Prestwich following the death of Anna M Philips and the work of the Forestry Commission.
Also includes a typescript copy of a reply to Charles.
