Includes discussion of politics and the Labour Party, World War I, family news, life at Berkhampstead, George's writing, reference to discussions with the Forestry Commission regarding planting in the Lake District, Italy, reference to inheritance and Hallington Hall, letters from the Lake District and the work of the National Trust.
Also includes letters from Janet Trevelyan, Herbert William Richmond to George from the HMS Commonwealth, December 25th 1915 and a note in Charles' hand.
One of the letters has been torn in two and has been mended with adhesive tape.
