Mostly letters from her time as a student at University College Reading.
Includes letters from visits to London, her cousin Mary Caroline Trevelyan at Somerville College Oxford, Wrea Head and Rounton, descriptions of her classes and studies in agriculture, life in student halls, an account of a fancy dress party with sketches of the costumes, reference to the awarding of the Charter making University College Reading Reading University, a bicycle ride to London from Reading, exam results, a visit to observe mole ploughing, an account of a talk by Laurence Hausmann on religious beliefs and descriptions of her agricultural work on the farm at Wrea Head.
Also includes a sealed envelope labelled 'Father's hair off his nose'.
Some of the letters are illustrated with sketches, particularly of agricultural activities and machinery.
