Manuscript account, which begins "The object of this little book is to give a short account of the work of the London Mission [London Missionary Society] in the Salem District so far I knew it, since the times of the late Revd J. M. Lechler. Though it is short yet it contains the writer's experiences which the missionaries have done in this district." Includes photograph of S. J.
