The applications committee reported to the Board of Studies and was responsible for issues relating to the admission, study and examination of non-university College students. Similar responsibilities for the College's University students were handled by the applications committee of the Faculty of Technology. The Committee continued in existence under the Manchester College of Science and Technology, and was wound up in 1965 when non-university students ceased to be admitted.
