Sales daybook

Sales daybook (1 January 1918-30 June 1925) of John Sparks Ltd, dealer in Chinese art (London). Book of prime entry in which John Sparks Ltd recorded sales invoices issued to its clients for goods or services supplied in the course of its trade. Entries in the daybook record the stock number of goods supplied, date of invoice, name of client account, brief description of goods supplied or services vended, page number for client account in Sales ledger in which invoice posted , value of individual invoice (£-s-d), and total value of invoices (£-s-d). Invoice entries are arranged chronologically in the daybook by date, with a running total of invoices for each month at bottom of page (£-s-d). Ruled paper. Handwritten. 1 volume. 491 pp. (481 containing entries). No cover. No spine.
