Collection of sale catalogues of mills sold during the slump in trade experienced in the 1930s. Many of the mills were broken up and the machinery sold at prices well below market value. The fate of the mills can be ascertained from the newspaper cuttings which accompany the individual catalogues. Most of the cuttings are taken from local papers.
