Administrative / Biographical History

John Lawson Crichton graduated with a MB ChB from the University of St Andrews in 1955. In 1966, he received a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. In 1972, he became a member of the college, and in 1985 was made a college Fellow. He was a member of the British Medical Ultrasound Society and an Associate Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Between the 1970s and the 1990s, Crichton was a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Western Isles Health Board and then at the Borders Health Board
