MUS/1/2/1 refers to a previous Council Minute Book 'Volume 1' which is not with the collection.
These minute books and folders contain records of the meetings held by the Council of the Manchester University Settlement. The Council was the body in overall charge of the Settlement. The Executive Committee reported to the Council, and copies of these reports (and others from the Finance Committee) are inserted throughout the volumes.
The Council Minutes are interspersed with Annual General Meeting Minutes. These are continued from the Minutes of Proceedings at General Meetings. The more recent meetings are collected in folders.
